About
My name is Jessica and I have over 11 years of experience in education. I am a qualified, passionate teacher who has worked both in the public and state sector. I am qualified to deliver full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and hold APC with PATOSS, with whom I am a Professional Patoss Member. I also hold AMBDA (Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association). These qualifications mean that my assessments are ‘future-proof’ and may be used towards DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance).
In addition to my specialist teacher/ assessor qualification, I am also a qualified SENDCO working in a school in the New Forest. I am passionate about furthering my expertise and hold further qualifications in Senior Mental Health Leadership, an Undergraduate Certificate in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Cambridge and a Postgraduate Certificate in Inclusive Practice from the University of Aberdeen.
However, I am happiest when spending time with my family, cooking and getting outdoors. I also enjoy travelling, having lived abroad as an expat, and also travelling in Africa, South America, Asia and Australasia.
